About The Role

As a Media and Programmatic Account Manager, you will be responsible for campaign activation, optimisation, measurement and reporting, acting as the client technical contact during their campaign lifecycle. Working with multiple core IDHL teams to activate media plans created by our strategic teams, identify opportunities to grow our client activity and campaigns, work with other channel experts to identify opportunity for client upsells, and working to ensure at all times we are leaders in the programmatic space. You will be an expert in DSPs such as StackAdapt, and have extensive experience in working with programmatic partners from an activation perspective.
 
Main Accountabilities
 
  • Manage, plan, execute and optimise Programmatic campaigns, ensuring delivery against KPIs
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet client objectives and KPIs, ensuring optimal campaign performance
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as media planners, creative, and analytics teams to ensure campaign alignment and performance
  • Create, analyse, and report on programmatic campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimisation
  • Continuously monitor campaign performance, making data-driven decisions to improve efficiency and ROI
  • Conduct A/B testing on creative and targeting strategies to drive performance improvements
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging programmatic technologies, bringing new opportunities to the team
  • Manage budgets effectively, ensuring optimal use of client spend across channels
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and data privacy regulations, including GDPR
  • Experience with audience segmentation, targeting, and bid management
  • Work closely with programmatic partners to develop strategies, optimisation roadmaps, creative, attribution models etc
  • Work in tandem with other IDHL departments such as Studio, Strategy, Performance and Intelligence

Core Knowledge and Skills

 
Essential
 
  • Familiarity with programmatic TV, audio, or other emerging media types
  • Expertise in using DSPs such as DV360, The Trade Desk, or similar platform
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and extract actionable insights
  • Solid understanding of media planning fundamentals, including audience targeting and cross-channel strategy
  • Familiarity with digital advertising metrics such as CTR, CPA, CPM, and ROAS
  • Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholder management
  • Proficient in Excel and other reporting tools for campaign data analysis
  • Consistently deliver against client KPIs, including, but not limited to, CPM, CPA, and ROAS
  • Maintain a campaign accuracy rate of 100%, eliminating errors in budget allocation and pacing
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
 
  • Experience with third-party data integration and DMP's
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or other web analytics platforms
  • Experience working with creative teams to develop assets that perform well in programmatic environments
  • Understanding of data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR) and their impact on digital advertising
Qualification/Experience Requirements
 
  • Likely 3+ years of relevant programmatic experience, including client management within a digital agency
  • Proven track record of managing and optimising programmatic campaigns
  • Experience in working with and managing junior team members
  • Knowledge of or experience in other media channels (e.g., social, search) is desirable but not essential
Any other relevant information
 
  • Work closely with the media strategy and creative teams and contribute to client meetings where programmatic insights are required
  • Regular opportunities to learn and grow in other areas of digital media
  • This is a hybrid role split between home and office working, ensuring you work from your contracted office on the relevant allocated day (Manchester Wednesday, Leeds Thursday)
