About The Role

As a Senior PPC Technical Account Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing a portfolio of clients across multiple platforms and a variety of budgets. You will be expected to support on key accounts across the team, lead client calls and ensure progress is tracked against relevant KPIs. 

You will also work to support and oversee the work of those more junior in the team and work collaboratively to provide insights and value-adding action. In addition to client work, our Senior PPC Technical Account Managers are responsible for coaching, mentoring, training and developing the junior team, along with delivering regular training sessions to the wider team and business.

As a Senior Technical Account Manager, you will be expected to act as a primary point of escalation and viewed as subject matter expert, with a continuous thirst to develop industry knowledge.

Anyone coming into this role will have a keen eye for detail, along with a passion for the industry and team-work.
 
This is a hybrid role split between home and office working, ensuring you work from your contracted office on the relevant allocated day (Harrogate Tuesday, Manchester Wednesday, Leeds Thursday). The successful candidate must also be available to travel frequently to client and new business meetings
 
Main Accountabilities
  • Expertly manage a portfolio of large and/or complex clients’ paid search campaigns, across multiple networks
  • Resolve complex issues, mitigating risk by devising smart strategies
  • Work closely with other departments for all cross-company clients, ensuring overall strategy is always aligned and regular update meetings take place with all relevant internal stakeholders
  • Conduct calls with clients and sales to discuss and plan campaigns
  • Setup, implement, track and optimise PPC campaigns across several search engines and markets
  • Undertake and be responsible for keyword research, analysis and strategy
  • Provide cost estimates and ensure robust budget management
  • Ad Copy writing and testing
  • Tracking setup (including tracking codes generation, goals and funnels setup)
  • Prepare and deliver monthly reports & attend monthly progress meetings with clients
  • Analyse PPC campaign performance and recommend next steps
  • Responsible for; and targeted on the success of these PPC campaigns and client ROI and part of your responsibilities will be KPI reporting
  • Confidently complete audits and New Business calls/proposals
  • Monitor and assess the training needs within the team and help develop and deliver appropriate training programmes for teams and individuals
  • Focus on delivering a high quality product, improving efficiency and maximising the team’s potential

  • Compile sophisticated and creative analysis and recommends remediating action
  • Proactively give feedback to team members to support their development
  • Transparent in making client strategy and technical decisions
  • Proactively improve performance on accounts, through knowledge and skill
  • Be able to implement solutions based on advanced knowledge of common metrics within paid media
Qualification/Experience Requirements
  • Extensive experience in a senior PPC role within a search agency
  • Advanced knowledge of data manipulation, with a clear understanding and application of data downloading, formatting and analysis
  • Experience in confidently building roadmaps and advise clients on strategy in line with agreed KPI’s and without guidance or support
  • Experienced in managinglarge and complex client accounts
  • Demonstratable experience in identifying new development opportunities to improve service
  • Strong knowledge of Excel
  • Experience in search, display, video and shopping campaigns
  • Be a master of different interfaces such as Google Ads, Microsoft etc 
Outline of typical Goals and OKR’s for role
  • Maintain productivity at 60%
  • Ensure Time Tracker is 100% complete by the end of each day
  • All relevant technical certs to be completed and up to date - complete a minimum of 1 certifications per month if expired or due to expire
  • Achieve 95% TAM renewal rate
