Your role as Senior Frontend Developer:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Frontend Developer to join our dynamic team at Fostr, a leading Shopify Plus Agency specialising in the luxury fashion, beauty, and luxury verticals.
As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in crafting exceptional e-commerce experiences for our clients on the Shopify Plus platform. You will ensure that any solutions built meet Shopify’s high standards for quality, and enable our largest clients to launch, grow and succeed on the platform.
We are able to consider either hybrid or remote working options for this position. With the remote option, occasional travel to the office may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Developing joint solutions that accelerate time to business value and deliver high value for our clients
- Work closely with our Designers to translate design prototypes into a fully functional responsive website
- Upholding coding standards and best practices, conducting code reviews to maintain high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code
- Work on a wide range of project sizes and types, from project to retainer work
- Act as an expert on Shopify’s application ecosystem, integrations, platform and design/development processes
- Implementing WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility requirements
You will also be:
- Keeping up to date with all new Shopify innovations and eCommerce trends
- Exploring creative ways to innovate and develop on the platform
- Mentor and coach peers on technical aspects of the Shopify platform
- Engaging with stakeholders from our strategic and/or enterprise level clients to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Estimating project scope, creating technical specifications and solution notes while considering resource requirements and timelines
- You have the ability to prioritise competing demands and goals
Qualifications
- Solid web development principles and extensive knowledge of front-end performance practices
- Extensive experience in front-end development including developing Shopify themes
- Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experienced with local development & Git version control
- Demonstrates an engaging and persuasive presence in client meetings
Nice to haves:
- Shopify certification in Liquid Storefronts for Theme Developers
- API knowledge (REST and GraphQL) for enterprise integrations
- Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React)
- Great troubleshooting and analytical skills combined with the desire to tackle challenges head-on
